I’ve shed innocent blood…

How can I forgive myself?

I have physically and mentally shed innocent blood.

I’ve masqueraded as a teacher for 3 and a half years…

Pretending to develop minds while working in a system designed to kill them.

I’ve shed innocent blood…

Why should I forgive myself?

I’ve willing laid on a table, not once but twice,

And allowed the daughters that I prayed for to be murdered…because I was sinning when they were conceived.

I killed them to cover my sins…where’s the honor in that?

I’m shedding innocent blood…

Why would I forgive myself?

I prayed for forgiveness and repented for my sins, but they’re still consuming my thoughts.

The accuser won’t let me put the sinner to rest…because then I’ll stop killing myself and believe that…

Because I sin no more…the sinner is no more.

I remember the shedding of innocent blood…

I must forgive myself.

Many will die for nothing…but He came and died for one thing…Salvation.

So, the deaths of those I killed must not be in vain.

We all must die so that someone else can live…and we don’t continue to shed His innocent blood for our glory…instead of His.

"So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me" John 13:12-18.
